A building automation system (BAS) is the automatic, centralized control of a building's subsystems including, HVAC, Lighting, Electrical, access control (security), and automated shades. A BAS is used to improve the efficiency of the building through the reduction of energy, operating and maintenance costs. Another common goal of the BAS is to improve the user experience.
